Soy Products: I'll Stick to Eating Animals

According to this article, soy products aren't as wonderful as many people believe.

27,200 square km of Amazon rainforest was clearcut between 2003 and 2004 for the sole purpose of growing soybeans. Most (75 to 89%) of the soy products you buy are made from genetically modified soybeans. Soy milk contains phytates that block the absorption of alcium, magnesium, iron and zinc in the intestinal tract. Soy isoflavones produce estrogen-like effects in the body...think of the babies on soy formula.

Yet another reason I am proud to be one of the People Eating Tasty Animals.
