Time to Communicate

The Foreign Language Lesson Podcast Collection is a place for learning a new language, all in the convenient podcast format. So delete your Barry Manilow tracks and toss these on instead, learn Tagalog or Conversational Chinese. Perhaps Swedish for some of those classy foreign films? Sorry, the only Klingon podcast I could find was adulterated with Christianity, no link...fuckers.

80% of Blogs Contain "Offensive" Content

According to this article, ScanSafe found most blogs to be offensive. I ask this: If 80% of blog contain "offensive" content, then isn't it about time to re-define the term "offensive". I personally like, non-prudish. Why would anyone let a company tell them what is offensive? I'd rather read a website and decide for myself, offensive is going to be different for everyone. When I run across a website that I find offensive, such as this nasty shit, or this pile of vomit, I just go to something else, like pictures of naked teens or people fucking.

In God We Trust License Plates

Indiana BMV has introduced a new license plate this year. It says "In God We Trust" on it. Not too big of a deal, you can get plates for universities, environment, hell the way things are going I wouldn't be surprised if you could get a plate to support survivors of canine testicular cancer. However, with each of these plates you have to spend a little extra money, after all it does take time and money to set up and design the plate, it just makes good sense. What I found a few months ago though was that the state will pay that fee for you (by making it free) if you will display your conservativeness on your license plate. This pissed me off...a lot. The Indiana ACLU has filed a complaint. Thank you. Now, can I get a Paganism plate for no fee?

People That Need to be Sterilized

This article got me started on a bit of a rant, and you, yes, you get read it (or scroll past, whatever).

Is there anything more precious than a child? I mean really, anything? I spend an incredible amount of time with children. I know they can be trying sometimes, but good grief, there should be nothing more sacred in the world than a child. They are innocent, trusting, loving, caring, and mostly, they are totally dependent on adults. I hear and read worse things than this little article pretty often. I have trouble sleeping after reading this sort of thing, I lay awake thinking that somewhere is a child being abused, mistreated, exploited or simply unappreciated. I propose that when they find these people guilty of such a hideous act, the punishment for them should be immediate non-anesthetized sterilization. There should be absolutely no way that they can ever reproduce again.

National Day of Reason

To combat the unconstitutionally backed National Day of Prayer, I point you in the general direction of National Day of Reason. It's not just for atheists, it's for all faiths that believe in the separation of church and state. Think about it, once the government begins to fully endorse Christianity, how long will it be until there is one official flavor that is favored?

Feel like taking things a step in the other (off the deep end) direction? Then I point you to the National Day of Slayer where they quote Psalm 116:15 - Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his faithful ones. Yeah, he's got your back alright.

How do you fill a condom with water?

WTF?!?!?
is the first thing that came to mind when I saw this page. But after careful consideration, I can see it's value. I'm not likely to ever try this though unless there is a dire emergency, as Latex has an awful taste.

Sad Kermit

We all thought that the Muppets could continue on just fine. When Jim Henson died he entrusted them to Disney. What better place? Well, it seems that Kermit isn't doing well. I guess the stress has taken it's toll on our lovable little frog. Here's his first video since hitting rock bottom, Nine Inch Nails' Hurt....no, Johhny Cash didn't write this song dammit!

Early U.S. Daylight Savings a bust in power savings

...this just in from the "no shit" department: Daylight Savings a bust in power savings.

Daylight Saving time has to be one of the biggest lines of crap I've ever heard of. It always seemed to me that if I got up when it was still dark, I would turn on a light. But that is okay right, since it's still daylight now when we go to bed?
