X-mas Season is Upon us

With the X-mas season upon us, I'd like to offer some reflection on the origins of this holiday.  Attis, Mithra, Bacchus, Osiris, Krishna, and Jesus were all born from virgin mothers on December 25th, different years of course. The Roman festival of Saturnalia provides us with the gift-giving, Norse mythology gives us the tree,  and the druids give us the mistletoe.  But enough of those pagan bastards that stole this holiday away from Jesus before he was even born.  We must bear in mind all of the facts the point us towards the devinity of Jesus.  The facts and the logic all point to the same place....read them and see for yourself.

Thoughts on Proposition 8

As you probably know, Proposition 8 in California was passed, once again making it illegal for gay folks to get married. Here is a very good article about it from a newspaper in Indiana. The article caught my eye with the title of Doing God’s will by banning gay marriages in city hall, have a look.

Montana Gun Exec Supports Obama

I like my guns. I think we should all have them if we choose to. I belong to the NRA, I get 2 or 3 e-mails and phone call or two a day begging me to vote for McCain. I have been telling people that the 2nd Amendment is a very important issue to me. However, it is not the biggest issue in this presidential race. The economy, the war, the rampant violation of civil (and human) rights, and the pushing of Christianity by the GOP....those are bigger issues to me. I will be voting for Obama on Tuesday. I expect Obama to be anti-gun, but THAT is where the NRA needs to responsibly spend their resources....educate people that the 2nd Amendment is worded simply enough that it doesn't require interpretation. Dan Cooper, founder of Cooper Firearms obviously can see that firearms aren't the biggest issue...he's supporting Obama. Of course a bunch of shortsighted rednecks threw a fit, and he stepped down to protect his employees.

A lot of people look for great coloring pages to print off for their kids. Through the miracle of the internet (thanks Al Gore) I have found what is probably the best coloring pages possible. Check out Coloring Book Land, well, at least if your kids don't read yet.
